Journey's End

Over the last four decades the A submissives journey community has taken many forms and names.  Today as I wander thru the members and users list, I can still find names that have been around what we know of today as A submissives journey for many years, some for a decade or more..

In the last half dozen years or so, Asj has included online and real life communities with a variety of names, including;:

A submissives Journey

A submissives Quest

A submissives Journey - The First Step

A submissives Journey - The Next Step

A submissives Journey - my hopes

Myhopes

I am Gor

About the time I decided on the name of "The Next Step", I also made the decision that the final A submissives Journey community would be called "Journey's End".

Journey's End will continue the Asj traditions, with a few significant changes.  First, Journey's End will be a real place, not just online and not just for occasional meetings or get togethers.  Journey's End will be My real world home and will carry forward the lifestyle principles I've tried to share with so many others for many years.  From My home I will continue to carry on with the Asj website and online communities.

The Asj enclave originally established years ago and which has seen many changes, expansions, moves, closures and reopening's will be relocated to Journey's end. Previously, the Asj enclaves have hosted from 0 to a peak of 9 girls in residence.  Journey's End will be planned with a total of 6 - 8 girls in residence.

Call it bragging, call it pride, call it the fruition of a lot of years of hard work, but Journey's End will be My retirement home, hence the final name of 'Journeys End'.  Allow Me if you will to share some details of My dream.

While originally planned for construction on Journey's End to begin in early summer 2009, the recent upheaval and turmoil in the financial markets and the economy in general has things in a bit of a holding pattern.  I'm still hoping to begin construction of Journey's end in 2010, however, this date could be pushed to somewhere as far off as late 2011.  Hopefully not, but it is a contingency currently being considered.  I will try to keep you posted on My progress with this.

While the specific site has not yet been finalized, I have looked at a variety of parcels of land ranging in size from 32 acres up to just over 105 acres.  Recently I came across another piece of property that has caught My eye.  I have entered discussions with the realtor and the seller and there is a possibility that this parcel of land  may become the final home for Journey's end.  This parcel is a rather large parcel, over 430 acres!  If you don't have a concept of 430 acres, consider this... the property on it's long axis is well over 1 mile across!   While this is a significant jump in size, I believe the natural scenic beauty of the property, along with the many other advantages this piece of property makes it a strong contender!

Needless to say, I'm working the budget issues to try to make this a reality...  but as the time draws closer and negotiations proceed, I guess we'll see.  Of course, if I win the lottery between now and then, it will happen a lot faster,,,  ;)  I hope that as Journey's End is completed, many of the friends I've made here in the Asj community will stop and visit.  Because of the push back in time, I have to face the reality that this property may not be available when it comes time to close the deal.  As of this writing, yes, the property is still available.

If I may, I'd like to share a few pictures with you.  Included below are pictures of the current two top contenders for the property, as well as pictures of the home I intend to build.  I welcome your comments, thoughts and ideas.

                                                  As always, I remain,

                                                                CJ

Although not the actual house, as the actual house will be built to specifications.  Journey's End will actually be slightly larger in square footage than this home because of the addition of additional rooms and the expansion in size of a couple of areas including the kitchen. A quick glance and you won't be able to tell the difference.  In actuality, the garage area will be lengthened slighty and the house will be slightly longer (wider, from left to right, approximately 16 feet).  As a further footnote, options are currently being considered of purchasing a property with an existing home in place, to be replaced at a later date by the home shown here.

JOURNEY'S END

Construction to begin, Summer 2010 - Spring 2011

Keep in mind, the existing floor plan is being modified slightly, all of the details of this have not yet been worked out and are still with the Architect.  Once final drawings are available, they will be posted here.  The actual floor plan to be constructed will encompass additional floor/living space as explained below. In the interim, here is an idea of the original architects concept floor plan:

Main Level

The kitchen area, great room and dining area will be expanded slightly to the left.  Consideration is being given to adding a library area and storage room on the main level.

Upper Level

To the left of bedroom #3 & 4, two additional bedrooms will be added.  Either Bedroom # 3, or the one added to the left of bedroom #4 will be expanded as a second Master Bedroom Suite (smaller than the one on the main level).  This will serve as a guest room.  The walk in closet in bedroom #4 may suffer slightly with these changes.

A second smaller laundry area/closet is being contemplated for the upper level.

Basement Level

(the crawl space area as shown on the left will also be converted to usable living space.  Two  rooms (bedroom?) and a play area will be incorporated in this space, remember this area will be enlarged as a result of the other additions on the upper floors.)  Although undecided, an indoor sauna /is contemplated for the basement level.

Kitchen Area

(Remember, this area will be enlarged,, different finnish on cabinets, etc)

Master's Bedroom

As to the location of Journey's End, two parcels of land are being considered.  As you'll see, there are significant differences in the two parcels, each having it's own advantages and disadvantages.  Yes, there is a significant cost difference between the two parcels and that will remain a primary consideration.

The two sites being considered:

NOTE:  These pictures may take a moment or two to load!  Perhaps it's easy to see why I really like these two pieces of property!

Site #1

The property consists of 430+/- beautiful acres , with an average elevation of 3000 ft.  The land is a blend of level and gently rolling pastures with the remainder in woodland. The acreage is approximately 60 percent woodland and 40 percent open; plenty of fresh water provided by several natural mountain springs; the top fields are well over 1 mile in length and could be designed into an airstrip for small aircraft. Dozens of well-designed trails make this a terrific property for the horse lover or ATV enthusiast to explore the many miles of mountain scenery. The property also offers a hunting cabin, 2 spring-fed ponds (one stocked), as well as some fantastic White tail deer and turkey hunting. May also be sold as 2 separate tracts: a170+/-acre tract with mixture of open fields, woods, and trails; or a 260+/-acre tract of similar composition but also includes the home, hunting cabin, barn, and hayshed.

Site #2

while no definite site has been selected, a pretty strong contender is this one... a brief description and pictures,,,

46 acres of Farmland, ½ mile on xxxxxx Creek, excellent trout fishing, beautiful wide picturesque mountain stream, 42 acres fertile flats with tree lined areas along stream , grow or raise anything here, 4 acres with trees, above 100 year flood plain.  Essentially, the stream forms one of the boundaries of the property.

No, the stream is too shallow for My boat.
