The Philosophy of the slave
-
This section will be fairly long, but one of the most important things for you to understand. This area will deal with the expected thought process of the kajira. Notice I said expected. This is the real world, and most women are not brought up to be able to think in the manner expected of a kajira. Therefore getting a woman to think as a kajira should is not always easy. The Master's job is to try and lead the slave into this thought process and help reshape the slave's mind and the way the slave thinks. If the Master is a good one, He will push hard to reshape the way the slave thinks. This is normal and the way it should be. However, a good Master also knows to care for the emotional well being of His girl and though He will push, He should also be monitoring the slave's emotional responses so He does not push to hard. It's very hard to draw a line here between abuse and proper training as each girl is different and so is each Master. All I can say is to keep the lines of communication open between Master and slave. Let Him know if He is pushing too hard. He should be willing to adjust to the slave's needs.
What does it mean to be kajira?
Being a kajira is part of who you are and should be reflected in all your actions.
Being kajira is not just about obeying orders. It means to serve your need to have someone else control your life. When you choose to be kajira, you give up all your rights. You give over control of who, and what, you are and allow someone else to decide who, and, what you will be. You give up control of your body, mind, and spirit. Your only desire becomes pleasing the Free. To a kajira, there is nothing more important than pleasing the Free and its only through pleasing the Free, do you find pleasure for yourself. It is not a choice made lightly. As a kajira, you have decided to turn over you most basic human rights and trust totally and completely in the Free and the decisions of the Free.
Being a kajira is not just about how you behave in the privacy of your bedroom, its about how you live your life. Granted that while in public, you wont call the Free by title (Master/Mistress), but you will still carry forth your role as kajira in your actions. In everything you do, you will always be acting to please the Free.
One of the most common mistakes made, by both the new Free and the new kajira, is that Gor is about sex. While Gor is a sexual lifestyle, its not about the sex. Goreanism is about the need for control. The need of one person to be controlled and another to take control. Goreanism is about finding yourself in fulfilling that need.
What is a kajira?
A kajira is a Gorean slave girl. The kajira is the property of her Master to do with as He sees fit. Its the kajira's responsibility to please her Master and her only thought should be of His pleasure. A kajira has no rights, save what her Master gives her. There are no limits, as to how she is to please her Master, unless He allows it. In short, when you become kajira, you give up all rights you have been taught you have, and begin to live solely for the pleasures of your Master.
What is expected of the kajira?
The kajira is expected to please the Free in any way the Free wish. The girl is expected to do all she can to please the Free and obey every order put to her, without exception.
Since you have chosen to enter this lifestyle of your own will, and you willingly gave up all your Earth Born Rights, you will be held to your word. When you chose to enter Gor; you chose to become the property of a Free Person and obey the Free, no matter what you may think or feel, and you will be held to that standard. Any deviation from that standard will be held sharply against you and you will be punished for it.
The most important thing to remember is that you made the choice to become kajira of your own free will. No one forced this decision on you, and you can choose to leave the lifestyle. However, while your in this lifestyle you must obey the rules of this lifestyle without deviation. If you do not hold to those rules, you maybe asked to leave and/or forced out of the lifestyle. Remember, you are giving your word, that this is what you want your life to be like, when you tell the Free you are kajira. If you violate the rules of being kajira, you are also violating your word and thereby making yourself look like a liar and no one will tolerate a liar in their Home.
It is also expected that you will be honest enough to tell the Free when your having a problem. Even if that problem is severe enough to make you decide to leave the lifestyle. No matter what, you should be honest and not just run and hide. A girl that simply vanishes from her owner is considered a run away and will be treated as such by any Free that should run into her.
Once you accept a collar, you may not remove it. Accepting a collar is your oath that this is what you wish of your life and of the Free Person you have pledged to. Hence unless you talk to your Owner and convince Him to remove the collar, even if you decide to leave the lifestyle, you are still owned. Remember the only person who can remove a collar is the Free Person who put it on you. You may NEVER remove your Owner's collar!
What is the Gorean Collar all about?
The Gorean Collar is a mark of great pleasure and honor to the kajira. It means that she has found the one to guide her through all things in life. It means she has found a person whom she can trust beyond all others, in a way she can trust no other. It is a bond that is stronger then even marriage. During the collaring, a woman is reborn into who she truly is in her heart. Its more then a band of ownership around the kajira's neck, its a symbol of a love and trust that go far beyond conventional understanding. To be owned is one of the greatest joys in a kajira's life.
Accepting a collar is a great responsibility for in accepting it you accept responsibility for the pleasures of the Free. It is NOT to be taken lightly. Collars are not made of Velcro and can only be removed under the most dire of circumstance. This is not a BDSM collar where, if your unhappy, you may remove it at your leisure. Once a collar has been placed upon your neck, it doesn't come off again unless you die, your owner dies, or your owner CHOOSES to release you. So take great care that the collar you accept is the right one for you.
Rules
Obey the Free
-
You are there to serve the Free. When you became kajira, you gave up the right to tell a Free Person "NO" for any reason. At this point, you exist solely for the pleasure of the Free regardless of your own desires or discomfort.
Trust the Free
· The Free are responsible for making sure you are safe, happy, and healthy. If you do not trust the Free to look out for your best interests, they cannot protect you.
· The Free know your limits and would not ask you to do anything that would violate your limits, unless they know that your limit is holding you back. If the Free believe that your limits are holding you back from being a better kajira, they will ask you to push your limits. Don’t be afraid to try, the Free would not ask more then you can handle.
Think about how your actions reflect on the Free
· The Free are responsible to train you and help you learn to behave within Gorean Law. If you act poorly, you make the Free look like they are not doing what they are supposed to, to help you be a better kajira.
Communicate with the Free
· If you have a problem, no one can help you unless you communicate it. It is the responsibility of the Free to see you are cared for.
· If you disagree with an order, or feel you are unable to complete the order given to you, it is your responsibility to communicate that to the Free. However you must do so respectfully and with the understanding that the Free have the final say.
· If you are afraid of something or someone, the Free can not protect you unless you tell them what you are afraid of and why.
· Communicating not only means talking to the Free, but listening to them as well. If you don’t understand what they want, ask the Free for more help.
Accept your punishments
· You will make a mistake. A Free Person will punish you. It’s not because the Free are being mean or spiteful, it’s because they care and wish you to learn to be the best kajira you can be.
Remember your position
· Do not try and dominate the Free. This will only lead to your punishment.
· Remember you chose to serve the Free, so be respectful in all you do. By forgetting your position, you disrespect the Free and yourself.
Be honest with the Free at all times
-
Lying to the Free will only serve to get you punished.
-
If you’re not honest with the Free, you make yourself and the Free look untrustworthy. Remember your actions reflect on the Free.
-
If you’re not honest with the Free, the Free will begin to doubt in you and will seek to use you less for fear that your not being honest about your limits and therefore putting yourself into a dangerous position.
Always serve the Free to the best of your ability
-
If you are not willing to give every serve the fullest amount of your attention and effort, it will be reflected in your serve. It will make you look bad and make the Free look badly as well.
-
If you try your hardest to perform a serve, and cannot do it, the Free will be better able to help instruct you in how to do it better next time. It’s the only way you will learn to be perfect in your service.
Never give up trying
-
Mistakes will happen and you will occasionally be punished, but if you stop trying, you will never get any better. Just as in all things, it takes time to learn how to serve the Free as they want to be served and every one of the Free is different and will require different things of you. Do your best to try and learn all they have to teach you. The only failure is a failure to try.
