The green Foliage of Leaves

Is like the luster of her hair

Shiny and Bold

Full of Life

Slowly turning to golden yellow

As the luster turns to Grey

Strand by Strand

In the fall of her Life

Turning to golden shades of Rust

As her hair fades to white

Showing the wisdom

And fullness of her Life

The leaves leaving the tree

Standing in the strength

of itself braced and ready

For the coldness of winter

As she enters into her final years

Leaving behind

The loves and Joy of her Life

Making room for a new one.
