Gorean Beverages - Ale
- This drink is
closer to a lager than to an ale or Earth beer. It is deep
golden color with a frothy head. It is brewed from grains and
hops (sa-tarna and wild grains).
Usually kept in wooden kegs/cask with a tap, which is kept in a chilling/ cool room or in a camp in a cold pit.

Severed in a Tankard or horn. Served cool.-

- Serving Pointers: Served in a tankard, which can be found hanging from an overhead rack (easily reached by a girl, with a long stretch) found in the serving cave, the tankards are made of a polished metal, bright and silvery in color. The casks of ale are kept in the cool room (cave) which is cool and damp. The casks are made of wood, resembling those shown above. Remember, ale when poured will usually foam, often spilling over the brim of the tankard. If hurrying as you carry a full tankard, it's not uncommon for it to overflow the tankard, dripping the foam down the sides of the tankard. Clean up your mess!
- On occasion, you may find someone requests their ale served warm. Remember, if served warm, it is served in a three footed bowl.

- "Gorean Ale is closer to a Honey Lager than to an ale or beer...a deep gold in color, and brewed from the grains of Gor and hops imported from earth in the early years. It is traditionally served in tankards or horns." ~Marauders of Gor p. 82-83, 99, 191, and 194~

"The Forkbeard himself now, from a wooden keg, poured a great
tankard of ale, which must have been of the measure of five
gallons. Over this he then closed his fist. It was the sign of
the hammer, the sign of Thor. The tankard then, with two great
bronze handles, was passed from hands to hands among the rowers.
The men threw back their heads and, the liquid spilling down
their bodies, drank ale. It was the victory ale."
