As you begin to explore the Dominant submissive (D/s) Lifestyle, it will quickly become apparent; there is a lot to learn.  While each D/s relationship is unique, there are still many things common to any relationship.  Asj emphasizes the importance of what we refer to as the foundation building blocks, or cornerstones of any D/s relationship.  These cornerstones include, Communication, Trust, Respect and Honesty (Honor).

Naturally, there are a myriad of other topics, such as different types of D/s relationships, including Master/slave, Polyamorous and Taken in Hand (TiH) relationships.  While not every D/s relationship will actually involve a physical relationship, or some aspects of BDSM, most do.  For most, this presents a need to learn at least a little bit about how these may impact your relationship.

Asj host lifestyle oriented classes and discussion here in the Asj Online Community Chat Rooms several times during the week.  Usually, at a minimum, these discussions take place on Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 9:00 pm, Eastern Time, and are open to all to attend.

If you’re new to the Lifestyle, the discussions provide an excellent learning opportunity.  No, I wouldn’t call it “slave training”, rather we’ll refer to it as “Lifestyle learning”.  You’ll find regardless of your experience or role in the Lifestyle these classes are often quite interesting.  Those that have been around the lifestyle for awhile are encouraged to volunteer to host some of these topics.
